Troubleshooting

Photos won't load or appear blank

Make sure Squish has permission to access your photo library. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos > Squish and select "Full Access" or "Limited Access". If using Limited Access, ensure the photos you want to compress are included in your selection.

Compressed file is larger than the target size

Some photos (especially small PNGs or screenshots) may already be close to or below the target size. In these cases, Squish will apply minimal compression to avoid unnecessarily degrading quality. If the original file is already small, the compressed version may be similar in size.

Share extension not showing up

If Squish doesn't appear in your share sheet, scroll to the end of the app row and tap "More". Find Squish in the list and enable it. You can also reorder it by dragging to make it easier to find. If it still doesn't appear, try restarting your iPhone.

Restore purchase

If you've purchased Squish Pro and it's not showing as unlocked (e.g., after reinstalling or switching devices), open Squish, go to Settings (gear icon), and tap "Restore Purchases". This will check your Apple ID for the existing purchase and unlock Pro features automatically.
